New arrivals….

Eastern Meadowlarks are back at Wolcott Mills Metropark across from the entrance on Kuntsman Rd… There were two singing in the fields today.. I also got a quick glimpse of a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker in the woods bordering the parking lot… I forgot to post on my blog that I had a Trumpeter Swan at Wetzel on earlier this week… I see them at Stoney Creek often, but not at wetzel…

  1. Nice finds Paul !! The Meadowlark and Sapsucker are on my list for getting photographs of. I have seen both but never got any good pictures.

    • Mike, as you can see.. getting good pictures of both of them is difficult. I would stalk the Meadowlark and as soon as I would get close, it would fly to the other side of the field. I think the easier route would be wait until they nest… observe the field and try and locate it… and then camp out near it and grab photos…
