The doldrums of summer

Birding slows way down in the summer… Not that there isn’t good stuff to see, but I relax for a couple of months waiting on fall migration… I have been having a good time over the last couple of years photographing butterflies and dragonflies… its keeps me busy and I love the challange… I visited Jeff Swider’s home yesterday and was photographing dragonflies in his pond… There were a few butterflies around also… The Kestrels have fledged, but I got a nice shot of the female hanging out in the top of one of the pines..
