Snowy Owl at Harvey Ensign Memorial Access

Got a text from Tom Heatley today of a Snowy Owl on the roof of a condo at the entrance to Harvey Ensign. I was only visible from the turnaround inside the gate. I could only see his head, but this is the first Snowy of the year for me… there have been a good number of them in St. Clair County, but not Macomb.

  1. Hi Paul,

Myself & a friend are visiting Magee and Michigan (Kirkland’s) in May, there are a few species that would be great to have a chance of seeing so was thinking of having couple of days in the UP for Grouse & Possible Owls that might be hanging around. Would you be able to put me in touch with anyone in the North that could supply reliable info or stake outs !!! Also would you be able to help with tricker species in the LP like Hounslow’s Sparrow etc.

Great Snowy Owl 🙂 had one on a roof 12 miles from my home a few years ago there were 7/8 on a ship out of Canada & I think about 5 got off & were in Holland & 2/3 in UK.

    Thanks,

    Eddie Marsh
