Lk St. Clair Metro park fall birding

Nice morning birding at LSCMP… The Buff-breasted Sandpiper that was there yesteday was still present this morning. There were also Dunlin and Semipalmated Plovers. The woods were quiet, but there were still interesting birds around. I had a pair of Gray-cheeked Thrush near the owl bucket and one on the meadowloop. I bumped into Tom and Kathi Hince… It was great to see them… it had been awhile… Warblers for the day were Black-throated Blue, Black-throated Green, Nashville, Magnolia, Bay-breasted, Blackpoll and Yellow-rumped. I also had Winter Wren on the meadowloop. A Pied-billed Grebe was hanging out with the juvenile Comorant in the pond by the South Marsh.. The south marsh is still full of Common Gallinules…
