Pursuit of Northern Pintail…. Struck out, but still a good day

I headed to Lk. St. Clair Metropark this morning looking for a Northern Pintail… I did not manage to see any but I did manage to see 50+ Wood Duck, Green-winged Teal, Blue-winged Teal, Northern Shoveler, American Wigeon, Gadwall, Black Duck, Mallards, Great Egrets and Great Blue Herons, Black-crowned Night Heron and 1 Pectoral Sandpiper…. all in the North Marsh….

I then went by Stoney Creek… it was already late in the morning and there was a charity walk for ALS going on, so the park was crowded…. Not much to report except a nice looking Bald Eagle soared overhead and there was a flock of Canada GeeseĀ  near Bay Pointe Beach numbering 200+…. I looked for Cackling Goose and Snow Goose, but there were none to be found…..
