Wetzel State Park after work

I knew the winds were out of the NW today and that Tom Heatley would most likely be at Wetzel looking for Golden Eagles. Well, I wasn’t wrong. I got there and both he and Tom Hince were scoping the skies. No Golden Eagles but Tom Hince spotted a Black Vulture that was there for a good look and then gone up into the clouds… I did not get to see it, but glad someone did. Another new county record for Macomb. ¬†There were plenty of Tree Sparrows around and I got some nice photos, a female Northern Harrier buzzed the marsh and I stopped at Stony Creek afterwards to look for unusual gulls on the beach… I practiced auto focus modes on the Canon 7D Mark II. ¬†Only Gulls there were Ring-billed and a few Herring.
