Last couple of days – Flycatchers and Vireos and misc

I am behind on posting to my blog… When I am not working or birding, my spring list of stuff to do around the house has been sitting idle too long, plus my wife is starting to tell me that she feels like a birding widow…

I have been seeing Canada, Tennesee, American Redstarts, Northern Parula and Wilson’s just about everywhere I go… I finally found a Mourning Warbler at Nicholson Nature Ctr.. For some reason everyone had seen one this spring but myself…

Flycatchers are everywhere right now and its Emp heaven.. Alder, Willow, Yellow-bellied and Great Crested Flycatchers at Nicholson Nature Center yesterday and today. Eastern Wood Pewee are calling from all over the place… I even had a couple of nice Eastern Phoebes by the bridge at Stony Creek nature Ctr…

Red-eyed, Warbling and Yellow-throated Vireos were all on the habitat trail at Stony Creek Nature Center today. In addition to those I found Acadian Flycatchers in there usual spot where they breed every year…

Both Black-billed and Yellow-billed Cuckoos are moving thru the area right now and both were seen yesterday at LSCMP and today at the Inwood Trails at Stony Creek.
