Flycatcher kind of a day

Today I found the Olive-sided Flycatcher first reported by Brandon Aho at LSCMP.. It was on the meadowloop in the same tree Brandon had found it in… For some reason I find these more in the fall than the spring.. so cool sighing… I also had a Willow and Alder both calling at Wetzel… at one point as I was trying to get a photo of the Alder, the Willow came in and chased it… flew to a branch and gave a loud Fitzbew… The Alder waited a minute and came back with its call…

  1. We used to run into you when Dick Ward was still alive. Now that I’m on my own, & aging (85), I don’t get much further than LSCMP! I can see that’s a great enough place for me…
Where is the Nicholson place you mention?
Thanks for your blog, you can tell your wife she’s lucky to be just a “birding widow”!
