Cattle Egret at LSCMP

Wayne Hoch texted me today while I was at work and told me that an Ebird Alert had come to him about a Cattle Egret at Lk St. Clair Metropark. It was found by Dave Lancaster. Wayne headed that way and confirmed it was still there by the North Marsh. Of course the word got out and by the time I got there at 530pm, there was a Macomb Birders Party going on… I love my fellow Macomb Birders!!  The Cattle Egret moved back and forth from the island in the marsh to the grassy area bordering the parking lot..  I took a quick run thru the woods and did not expect to see much this time of day, however I managed to find plenty of Yellow Warblers. There also were Nashville, Palm and Blue-winged Warblers as well as a Common Yellowthroat.
