Sparrows on the move

At dawn I stopped by Stony Creek and was out of there by 0730… There were Canada Geese everywhere including a couple of Cackling Goose and over at Mt. Vernon Picnic area there were two Lesser Yellowlegs and 6 Pectoral Sandpipers on the mudflat… There were some warblers working there way along the tree line there by the parking lot… In addition to the Palm, Nashville and Yellow-rumped Warblers, I found a Blue-headed Vireo… After work I stopped by Lk St Clair Metropark and the whole nature area was full of Golden-crowned Kinglets… There also were a few warbers around… Palm, American Redstart, Yellow-rumped, Common Yellowthroat and a Magnolia… It was a great day for Sparrows as they are beginning to move through… White-throated, White-crowned, Clay-colored, Swamp, Field, Song and 1 Lincolns Sparrow… The Clay-colored was a complete surprise… a Juvenile bird… very friendy and curious… and it was sitting in the marsh on a dead tree… bizarre!!  I also had 3 Eastern Phoebes in the park…
