Pomarine Jaeger at Walter and Mary Burke Park

I have been hearing about Jaegers at this location for several days now from all of my Macomb birding friends… I have been busy helping out with my parents and have not had time for birding… I escaped this afternoon after work for a quick hour and found Alan Ryff on the pier at the park watching the Jaeger as it made its passes… Soon we were joined by Marc North, Tom Hince and Brandon Aho… the bird made some close passes and I got some good photos in the nice lighting that was there… A lifer for me!!  A rare bird for the Great Lakes.. They nest on arctic tundra and winter in the ocean in the Caribbean.
